About Docomomo US
Docomomo US is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 that is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of modern architecture and design. Led by a national Board of Directors and staff, Docomomo US represents a union of regional chapters that share a passion for modern heritage. Our mission is to push boundaries and advocate for the preservation of modern architecture, landscapes, and design through principled advocacy, collaboration, and celebration.
We envision a world where people value modern heritage and use it to shape vibrant communities. With inclusive and diverse goals, Docomomo US aims to make an impact in all 50 states within three years. We engage in constructive dialogues with preservation authorities, building owners, designers, and architects to highlight the importance of creative design and preservation.
