At Doctors of BC, we make a meaningful difference in improving health care for British Columbians by working alongside our physician members to achieve quality patient care through the promotion of engagement, collaboration, and physician leadership. Our goal is to promote a social, economic, and political climate in which members can provide the citizens of British Columbia with the highest standard of health care, while achieving maximum professional satisfaction and fair economic reward. As partners in progress, we help make sure the voices of BC’s doctors are heard throughout the government, media, and public. We advocate for a fair health care system for all patients. We are governed by physician members who are elected annually to the Board of Directors. Our President serves as primary spokesperson. In addition, Doctors of BC members contribute to over 60 committees that advocate for issues of importance to physicians, and to the citizens of BC.

About Doctors of BC
Doctors of BC is a voluntary association comprised of over 16,000 physicians, residents, and medical students in British Columbia. Our dedicated team works collaboratively to navigate the future of healthcare and fulfill our purpose of making a difference. By supporting BC's doctors, we enable them to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of the community.
At Doctors of BC, we offer a range of products and services to support and enhance the practice of medicine. Our Business Pathways program provides valuable resources for managing and optimizing medical practices. We also offer a compensation fee guide, helping family physicians navigate billing and audits while providing choice and flexibility in payment models.
The Doctors Technology Office (DTO) and Health Technology Resources empower physicians with the latest tools and knowledge to deliver virtual care effectively and securely. Through our Practice Support Program and Quality Improvement Initiative, we offer ongoing support and toolkits for physicians to enhance their practice and deliver high-quality care. Additionally, we provide comprehensive insurance coverage tailored to each stage of a medical career, along with benefits such as professional development funds and parental leave programs.
