Dodgerslist is your ultimate source for all things related to Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) in dogs. If your furry friend is experiencing back pain or you suspect they may have IVDD, Dodgerslist is here to help. Their website offers a wealth of knowledge and resources to educate dog owners about IVDD and how to care for their dogs during a disc episode.

You'll find information on the two treatment options available – surgery or medications plus rest – and learn about the phases of healing. It's crucial to act quickly when dealing with IVDD, as time is of the essence. Dodgerslist emphasizes the importance of restricting your dog's movement immediately to avoid further nerve damage and the need for surgery.

They also stress the significance of seeking veterinary treatment as soon as possible, as early intervention can lessen permanent neurological damage. Dodgerslist provides a platform for dog owners to connect and support each other through their Care and Support Forum. Here, you can ask specific questions about your dog and receive helpful tips for communication with your vet.

They also offer handy ideas to make the recovery process smoother and ease your worries. If you're looking to expand your knowledge about IVDD and living with an IVDD dog, Dodgerslist offers a Quarterly Digest filled with informative articles and insights from like-minded dog owners. Subscribing to their digest not only helps educate yourself but also supports Dodgerslist's efforts to save lives until a cure for disc disease is found.

In addition to their online resources, Dodgerslist supplies free literature such as wallet cards and brochures that you can share with others. These materials provide general information about IVDD and can be useful for group events or your vet's office. Please note that while Dodgerslist is passionate about helping dog owners understand and manage IVDD, they are not veterinarians or health care professionals.

Therefore, it's important to consult your own pet care professionals for specific medical advice. Join the Dodgerslist community today and empower yourself with the knowledge and support you need to care for your dog with IVDD
