Doerthe Jung

Dörthe Jung is a Frankfurt-based social scientist, author and consultant whose work has focused on equal opportunity, social issues and evaluation. For more than two decades, fairness, respect and equal chances for women and men and for different employee groups have been central to her professional approach. Since the 1980s, she has written books, articles for specialist journals and commentary for national daily newspapers. From 1990 to 2014, she ran her own company, working as a business consultant and in social science evaluation. Before becoming self-employed, she worked in research, teaching, adult education and local politics.

It also highlights her long-standing commitment to equal opportunity, recognized in 2011 with the City of Frankfurt’s Tony Sender Prize. Among the projects featured is Open Minds, an intercultural education initiative for young women with a migration background.
