Dølen Hotel is a small, charming hotel in Evje, Setesdal, described as the valley’s oldest hotel. Owned and operated by Øyvind Olsen and Else Haugland, it welcomes visitors to enjoy its location, hospitality, dining and cultural events. The hotel has 12 rooms, each with a private bathroom and television, and breakfast is included. Guests can start the day with the hotel’s cowboy breakfast.

The restaurant serves a homemade à la carte menu featuring quality ingredients and is open daily from 5 to 9 p.m., with the kitchen closing at 8 p.m. On Sundays, it offers a buffet of hot and cold dishes, followed by desserts. Dølen Hotel also hosts concerts throughout the year, including events associated with Jazzklubben Dølen, and its outdoor terrace, Solsiden, is a popular summer setting for dining and jazz.
