About Dolphin Research Ctr
Dolphin Research Center, founded in 1984, is a nonprofit marine mammal education and research facility dedicated to providing sanctuary and a forever home to dolphins and sea lions. With over 35 years of experience, our center offers an array of exciting and fun-filled programs for the whole family. Come and meet our amazing animals, swim with dolphins, and observe sea lions.
Whether you choose to spend an hour or stay all day, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Our history dates back to the 1940s when dolphins were brought to Grassy Key by commercial fisherman Milton Santini. Over the years, our flippered family has grown to include four generations, with many dolphins born right here at the Center.
We also have a colony of sea lions residing with us. Our goal is to provide a unique educational experience while conducting important research to better understand these incredible marine creatures.
