About Domaine Montrose
Domaine Montrose is not just a vineyard, it is a place of life and sharing that has been owned by the Coste family for nine generations. With a rich history dating back to ancient times, the Montrose estate and its surroundings have been inhabited for millennia, with evidence of a Roman villa and a medieval stronghold. The ancestral knowledge and dedication of the Coste family have allowed them to create exceptional wines that pay homage to their ancestor Joseph Alazard, whose coat of arms featuring three lizards adorns every bottle.
Situated in the South of France, near Pézenas and the Mediterranean Sea, the Montrose vineyards benefit from a diverse range of terroirs, including balanced and refreshing clay-limestone soils, naturally low-yielding villafranchian terraces, and unique volcanic slopes.
