The brand truly flourished when their daughter Urška introduced François Botton, an expert winemaker specializing in traditional method sparkling wines from Champagne, France, into the family. Inspired by the unique characteristics of the Slovenian grape variety žametna črnina, François and his brothers-in-law Matej and Andrej embarked on planting additional vineyards, including chardonnay and pinot noir, and began producing exceptional sparkling wines. Domaine Slapšak wines are a fusion of French techniques and Slovenian traditions.

The sun-kissed slopes of their estate, sitting at 500 meters above sea level, coupled with the ideal soil composition, contribute to the creation of vibrant sparkling wines.
