Doma ve Kdyni

Doma ve Kdyni is a social services centre serving the administrative area of Kdyně and nearby municipalities. Its work focuses on helping people, particularly older adults, remain in their own homes and maintain as much independence as possible. The team provides respectful, professional support tailored to each person’s needs, while protecting their privacy and familiar way of life.

Services include a home care service to assist with everyday personal care, and home health care delivered by qualified nurses. The centre also offers social counselling for people seeking guidance with difficult situations, and rents compensatory aids for a one-time handling fee; applicants do not need to be regular clients. Its services include the Astra seniors’ club, alongside support and information for informal caregivers.

Doma ve Kdyni aims to help clients live safely at home, preserve or improve their mobility, and feel supported rather than alone. The centre describes its approach as client-led and has received a certificate from the Czech Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs recognising good practice in designing services around clients’ needs.
