Domov bez zámku is a public-benefit organisation in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic and the region’s first fully transformed organisation of its kind. Its work is based on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can lead meaningful, everyday lives. The organisation creates homes and provides support that respects each person’s needs and encourages independence.
Its services include supported living in family homes and small communities, as well as residential care for people with disabilities who need more extensive support. Respite care offers temporary assistance for people who care for family members, for periods ranging from a few days to several months. A day centre provides a varied programme of activities, while a social therapeutic workshop supports people through purposeful work, including at Café Pohodička in Náměšť nad Oslavou. The organisation also offers support for independent living, helping people remain in their own flats or houses.
Domov bez zámku shares information about its services, history, projects and activities, and invites the public to support its work and follow its news.
