Don S

Don S. is an artist born in 1957 in Sainghin-en-Weppes, northern France, who lives and works in Montreux, Switzerland. His practice combines a distinctive hand-drawing process with large-scale image production, informed by a career that included high technology at Sun Microsystems, press cartooning, editorial leadership and major events.

Revelations — Opus 1 is a collection of eight unique works, each made as a one-of-a-kind piece. Seven date from 2020 and one from 2025; five are in private collections. Don S. draws the original matrix by hand using Sennelier oil chalks, graphite and pigments on paper, moving the paper and tool together without an eraser. The image is then revealed at Picto’s Paris laboratory using the Lambda process and mounted on optical plexiglass and aluminium Dibond with a floating frame. Each work is checked by the artist at Picto and accompanied by an ARTtrust seal and a Verisart certificate.
