Donauspatzen

Schwimmschule Donauspatzen is a children’s swimming school serving families in Ulm and Neu-Ulm, Germany. Led by swimming instructors Nikolina and Dominik Franke, the school helps children become safe, confident swimmers through patient, structured, and child-focused teaching. Its approach prioritizes water safety, enjoyment, and lasting swimming skills rather than badges alone, with lessons progressing at each child’s pace.

Donauspatzen offers beginner courses for children from age four and separate beginner classes for children aged seven to twelve, as well as progression courses and advanced technique training. Lessons cover water familiarization, basic swimming movements, independent swimming, and improvements to breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle. Classes take place in the indoor pool in Offenhausen, using either a 25-meter lane or a teaching pool according to learners’ needs.

Groups are limited to 12 children and supported by two instructors, allowing for close attention and individual guidance. The school emphasizes a calm, encouraging learning environment and draws on its instructors’ experience in education, sport, and working with children and young people.
