About DONKOSIRA
Donkosira is a non-profit association dedicated to promoting local knowledge in West Africa. Established in 2017, Donkosira aims to continue the innovative work started by Boukary Konaté and his project "Quand le village se réveille" in Mali, expanding it to other villages in West Africa. Their current project, Watigueleya Kèlê, focuses on Climate-Resilient Equity in West Africa through a Comparative Research-Action Program spanning Mali, Guinea, and Senegal.
Through initiatives like Watigueleya Kèlê, Donkosira empowers marginalized communities to enhance their resilience and adapt to climate change sustainably. With projects in various villages like Agnack, Banzana, Bossoko, and more, Donkosira engages with local communities to preserve and promote their unique knowledge and traditions.
