DonnadieconGi

DonnadieconGi is an independent Karate learning website built around a digital book, presented through a blog that divides its ideas into chapters and a YouTube channel that adds illustrative video material. Its stated approach rejects affiliation with a federation, master, or dojo, and invites readers to examine Karate critically rather than accept established teachings without question. The site offers commentary on what it views as misconceptions about modern Karate, a methodology for investigating the art, and interpretations of kata applications, or bunkai.

It also argues that Karate should be understood primarily as a discipline of self-defense, not simply as a way to win fights or compete in kumite. The blog challenges conventions associated with styles, ranks, trophies, and customary classroom practices, encouraging visitors to reconsider how Karate is taught and understood. DonnadieconGi is intended for readers interested in independent perspectives on Karate, reflective study, and practical interpretations of kata.
