ДонорUA is an automated blood donor recruitment and management system designed to popularize the donor movement in Ukraine. With only a third of patients in Ukraine receiving timely blood donations, the need for donors is crucial. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a minimum of 1% of the population (during peacetime) should be donors in any country.

However, Ukraine currently has approximately 320,000 donors for a population of 44 million, which is only one-third of what is needed. To address this shortage, ДонорUA focuses on recruiting blood donors through its own IT system to meet the needs of hospitals and support military efforts. They also promote regular, free, and voluntary donation through projects like the ДонорUA Art Project and ДонорUA Awards, while ensuring the safe transportation of blood components to critical areas.

Key achievements include engaging over 120,000 donors, providing assistance to 7,000+ patients, and supporting 22 blood centers. They have also formed collaborations with the Ukrainian Transplant Coordination Center, secured a recommended by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine status, and received business funding from Природне джерело. ДонорUA's ultimate mission is to timely provide patients with high-quality blood components.
