The Dora Green Educational Trust is a UK registered charity that administers a memorial fund in honour of Dora Stanier Green, whose legacy reflects a strong commitment to education and equal rights for women. The fund supports people under 25 who wish to develop their abilities in music, sport, academia, the arts or culture. Individual applicants must live in West Sussex, East Sussex or Hampshire, and grants are awarded mainly, though not exclusively, for the benefit of girls.
Eligible groups, schools, colleges and other formally registered organisations may also apply if their aims include enhancing the personal qualities of people under 25. Individual grants can be up to £10,000, while organisational grants can be up to £25,000; awards may cover up to 75% of total project costs. Applicants need to provide a detailed financial plan, and top-up funding may be requested even when other support has been secured.
Applications are reviewed quarterly, with outcomes normally shared within three weeks of the relevant review
