La Grange du Moulin de Mioudre is a family-run farm and producer of foie gras and traditional farm preserves in Sainte-Mondane, in the Dordogne region of Périgord. Séverine Couderc and Sylvain Javoy welcome visitors to their farm, located in the Dordogne Valley between Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon. Their range showcases local culinary traditions and the flavour of products made from duck.
Offerings include whole foie gras, duck confit, duck breasts served fresh, confit or dried, foie gras pâtés, rillettes, cassoulets and other prepared dishes. The selection also features gourmet starters and toast accompaniments, cured meats, raw products, duck fat, walnuts and organic walnut oil, as well as gift boxes. The farm provides direct sales, recipes and cooking advice, and a downloadable order form.
The producers state that their farm preserves come from ducks raised in Dordogne, which they force-feed and process themselves. They are also developing an on-farm rearing facility, with plans to welcome ducklings into outdoor enclosures. Their approach centres on regional sourcing, traditional know-how and Périgord food heritage.
