About Dorm Room Fund
Dorm Room Fund (DRF) is an early-stage investment fund focused on founders who are still in school or have recently graduated. For more than 12 years, it has backed over 339 student-founded companies, providing a first check and access to a network of peers and support. The fund highlights its role in helping founders take early ideas into ambitious businesses, with portfolio companies spanning developer tools, healthcare, enterprise software, hardware, and other sectors.
DRF’s portfolio includes Cursor, an AI-powered coding tool; Dandy, which brings software to dentistry; Shield AI, which develops autonomous aircraft and related technology; and Commure, a healthcare technology company.
