About Dornier Technology
Dornier Technology is a brand rooted in the past but geared for the future. With a rich history dating back to 2008, it was founded as a spin-off of the Maintenance Organization of Sea Air Inc., previously known as Tiger Philippines. Specializing in Aircraft & Aircraft Systems Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services, Dornier has recently ventured into commercial MRO, expanding its expertise in the aviation industry.
Dornier's legacy as a pioneer in aviation spans over a century. It gained recognition in the 1920s and 1950s for its revolutionary large, all-metal flying boats such as the iconic 1924 Wal (English Whale) and the Do X, which held the title of the largest flying boat at the time of production in 1929. A range of successful land planes, including the Komet (Comet) and Merkur (Mercury), further solidified Dornier's reputation, being utilized by esteemed carriers like Lufthansa and other European airlines during the 1920s and early 50s.
