Dorpsfeest Santpoort

Harddraverij Vereniging Santpoort en Omstreken is a community association that organizes Dorpsfeest Santpoort, bringing residents together for activities and entertainment for all ages. Supported by a nine-member board, a six-person gate team and more than 400 volunteers, the association works each year to create an accessible and welcoming village celebration.

Its programme combines traditional equestrian events with family fun and social gatherings. Activities include the Kortebaandraverij, a short-track harness race, pony and horse inspections, team games such as Kwalleballen, and a varied selection of fairground attractions. Visitors can also enjoy evening get-togethers, while the association shares event photographs, results, participant information and livestreams through its website.

The organization also publishes news and practical updates, offers membership opportunities and involves sponsors in its work. In 2026, marking its 90th anniversary, it is presenting a nostalgic fair from 1 to 4 October. Through its events, services and volunteer network, the association helps sustain local traditions and create shared experiences for Santpoort and the surrounding community.
