Dorrit Zeigler is a Chattanooga-based land and ecology design practice serving Eastern Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. Led by designer, practitioner, and educator Dorrit Zeigler, the business creates vibrant gardens, natural stone features, and productive food systems that balance human use with ecological health. Its work draws on regenerative agriculture, restorative ecology, permaculture, native gardening, and herbal healing, with a focus on building resilient landscapes and strengthening connections to land, food, and community.

Services include consultations, landscape design, installation, and maintenance. Projects may involve native gardens, meadows and woodlands, food-growing spaces, permaculture systems, rain gardens, and food forests, as well as ecological solutions for stormwater and erosion. The practice also offers invasive species removal and natural, permeable hardscaping, including paths, walls, and patios. Design begins with a site assessment and collaborative planning shaped by each client’s vision, budget, and resources; installation and ongoing maintenance can follow. For people interested in doing the work themselves, consultations provide practical direction, including guidance for prospective land buyers.
