Doula Berlin is the practice of Mandy Hänsel, a certified doula, trained early childhood educator and mother of three based in southeast Berlin. She offers personal, nonjudgmental support to expectant and new parents through pregnancy, birth preparation, the postpartum period and the baby’s first year. Her approach combines attentive conversation, practical knowledge and supportive rituals to help clients feel informed, calm and confident in making their own choices.

Pregnancy services include exploring concerns, preparing for birth, creating a birth plan and discussing wishes for the birth experience. Support may include aromatherapy practices, Rebozo exercises, mindful walks and help preparing for a birth consultation. Postpartum care focuses on planning for the first weeks, emotional support, bonding and restorative rituals, including massage. Mandy also provides parent guidance on children’s care and childcare transitions, drawing on her professional experience in early childhood settings. She offers a welcoming, respectful space for people experiencing pregnancy at a higher weight. Doula care is nonmedical and does not replace prenatal care from a midwife or physician.
