Doula Marjanne

Doula Marjanne is a birth-support and coaching practice run by Marjanne van den Berg-Meijer in Nijeveen, serving families across Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, Friesland and as far as Groningen. With a focus on informed, thoughtful choices, Marjanne helps expectant parents prepare for pregnancy, birth and the transition to parenthood. Her approach combines practical guidance with calm, personal support, recognizing the importance of each family’s preferences and birth plans.

Services include birth coaching during pregnancy and doula support during labour, whether at home or in hospital. Marjanne offers physical and emotional support to both the mother and her birth partner, helping them feel prepared and supported throughout the experience. Couples can also take a birth preparation course together, so partners can better understand what to expect and how to participate. For families interested in water birth, a birth pool is available to rent. Doula Marjanne’s work is informed by her doula training, which she began in Utrecht in 2019, and her longstanding interest in pregnancy and childbirth.
