Adocu

Down Cuenca ADOCU is an association serving people with Down syndrome and their families in Cuenca and its province. Its work focuses on inclusion, social participation, personal development and wellbeing, bringing members together through educational, recreational and community activities. The association offers workshops designed to support cognitive stimulation, attention, memory, communication and active ageing, alongside group activities that encourage social integration. Its programs also create opportunities for people with Down syndrome to connect with older residents through intergenerational companionship, shared leisure and cognitive activities.

ADOCU organizes inclusive events for the wider community, including the family-friendly Holi Down festival, seasonal celebrations, performances and social gatherings. It also supports participation in sport, including a special football section, and shares community news, event photos and information about its initiatives. Fundraising and solidarity activities, such as offering plants, mismatched socks and other association items, help engage local supporters. ADOCU works with public institutions, foundations, care homes, businesses, volunteers and families to deliver projects and strengthen inclusion across the province.
