Dom Pomocy Społecznej w Nowinach is a social care home located in Nowiny, around five kilometres from Chełm in Poland’s Lubelskie region. Set in a rural landscape surrounded by woodland within the Chełm Landscape Park, the home provides a residential setting for its residents. Its history dates back to 1934, when the centre was founded by Stanisław Szalast, a Dominican friar. The institution shares information about admissions, its staff, accessibility and everyday news through its website.

The home’s activities include social and creative events that encourage residents to participate and connect with others. Recent examples include preparing Christmas decorations, described as an opportunity for manual rehabilitation and integration, as well as seasonal celebrations and a senior gathering. The site also publishes practical information, including notices about free legal assistance and mediation. Dom Pomocy Społecznej w Nowinach combines a long-established institutional history with a peaceful rural setting and community-oriented activities for residents.
