Welcome to Dragon Fencing Academy, Richmond Hill's premier fencing academy. Established in 2005, we specialize in private and semi-private lessons for Olympic sport fencing and Japanese kenjutsu. Our highly experienced coaches, with backgrounds in Ukrainian and Russian lineage Olympic fencing, along with Japanese Kenjutsu, provide expert training.
As the official Canadian study group for Arakido (Kajitsuka Yasushi Sensei lineage), we offer classes in Japanese Yagyu Shinkage Ryu kenjutsu and Yawara (Jujitsu). At Dragon Fencing Academy, safety is our top priority. Our fully heated, air-conditioned, and ventilated facility features a DIN certified engineered sprung wood floor.
We maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, regularly sanitizing and ventilating our facilities between classes. Only vaccinated athletes with a Canada-approved Covid-19 vaccine are allowed to attend our classes, sparring, and private lessons. We offer both semi-private and private fencing lessons.
Our semi-private sessions, with a maximum of four students, are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. For private lessons, please contact us directly. Additionally, we provide Arakido lessons in Kenjutsu and Jujitsu on Sundays, starting September 11, 2022.
For more information or to book a lesson, please contact us at info@dragonfencing. com or call 905. 764.
