Dragon Welsh Show

The Dragon Welsh Pony Show is an annual Welsh pony and Cob event held in Oldebroek, the Netherlands. Organized by Stichting the Welsh Dragon, the show takes place on the second Saturday of August alongside the local harvest festival at Boerderijmuseum de Bovenstreek. It brings together pony owners, participants, visitors, sponsors and volunteers for a traditional British-style show celebrating Welsh ponies and Cobs.

The show invites British judges who have judged at the Royal Welsh in the previous year. They are WPCS panel judges with experience across multiple sections. Judging follows the Welsh Pony & Cob Society’s Judging & Showing Handbook, and classes are judged without a catalogue to support independent and objective assessment.

The event is part of a wider family day featuring activities such as sheep and cattle judging, vintage tractors and pancake making. The organization shares entry details, forms, schedules, judges, results and event photographs through its website. Businesses can enquire about sponsorship opportunities, which help support the show.
