About DRASA
DRASA Health Trust is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices. They aim to reduce and prevent the spread of infections and strengthen outbreak and health emergency preparedness. Founded in memory of the late Dr.
Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, who successfully contained Nigeria's first Ebola patient, DRASA is committed to building a network of health champions who actively participate in solving public health challenges and preventing the spread of disease. To achieve their mission and vision, DRASA offers a range of products and services. They design curricula to train and equip students, health workers, community leaders, and border health officials on proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
They also support the government in creating evidence-based health policies, plans, and strategies to strengthen the health system. Additionally, DRASA engages in community health and hygiene initiatives, advocates for infection prevention and control, and provides resources and education on COVID-19. By developing a network of health champions, DRASA envisions a healthier society supported by a strong health system and a significant reduction in preventable infections.
