About DRAVET
Dravet Portugal is a non-profit association dedicated to addressing Dravet Syndrome. We voluntarily take on the necessary task of putting Portugal on the international map for Dravet Syndrome solutions. Dravet Syndrome is a rare disease that manifests in the first year of life.
Each child can experience up to 500 seizures a day, with varying durations, from 1 minute to several hours or even leading to a coma. Unfortunately, 15% of children with this syndrome do not survive into adolescence. It is crucial to differentiate Dravet Syndrome from other forms of epilepsy, as a misdiagnosis can be fatal.
