Dr Chin Yong

Dr Chin Yong is a certified urogynaecologist and pelvic floor reconstruction surgeon serving women in East Melbourne, Geelong and across Victoria. Consulting and operating at Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Geelong, he provides individualised care for pelvic floor and general gynaecological conditions. His areas of focus include pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, bladder pain, voiding disorders, postpartum bladder dysfunction and pelvic mesh-related complications. The practice also assesses pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding.

Services include specialist testing such as urodynamics and cystoscopy, alongside conservative management and surgical care. When surgery is appropriate, options include uterine-preserving and post-hysterectomy prolapse procedures, stress incontinence surgery, fascia lata graft procedures and minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic reconstruction, including mesh-free prolapse surgery. Care is supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes pelvic floor physiotherapists and specialist continence nurses. Telehealth consultations are available for patients across Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast and regional Victoria. Dr Yong offers consultations in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
