About Dr Chris Russell
Dr Chris Russell is a Melbourne-based gynaecologist and fertility specialist focused on women’s reproductive health at every stage of life. He provides general gynaecology care, advanced laparoscopic surgery, fertility assessments and personalised treatment plans, including IVF and other specialist fertility treatments. His work also covers complex conditions such as endometriosis and PCOS, recurrent miscarriage, egg freezing and ongoing reproductive care.
Dr Russell completed advanced fellowships in fertility and reproductive laparoscopic surgery, holds a Master of Reproductive Medicine and has authored research publications and book chapters on IVF. He is Head of the Reproductive Biology Unit for Women at the Mercy Hospital and a lecturer at the University of Melbourne. He is also co-founder and Clinical Director of Newlife IVF, a Melbourne fertility centre offering care from testing through to IVF.
Consultations are available in East Melbourne, Box Hill and Clayton. Gynaecological surgery is performed at Epworth Freemasons, while IVF procedures, including egg collection and embryo transfer, take place at Newlife IVF’s Box Hill treatment centre.
