Dhofar Recovery Center (DRC) is a healthcare and human-development project being developed in Thumrait, Dhofar Governorate, Oman. It aims to bring prevention, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, wellness, research, education and long-term reintegration together in one integrated campus. The center’s approach treats recovery as a continuous, clinically led journey, with evidence-based care, confidentiality, family involvement and measured outcomes at its core.

Planned across a 300,000-square-metre campus, DRC is designed to include 13 specialized centers covering physical and neurological rehabilitation, mental health and psychiatry, addiction recovery, sports medicine, wellness, preventive healthcare and vocational reintegration. The wider development also encompasses research and innovation, education and training, hospitality, an innovation hub and medical tourism services. Its stated vision is to serve Dhofar and support expansion across Oman and the GCC.

DRC describes its mission as transforming lives and strengthening communities through coordinated care. The project also emphasizes sustainable campus planning, transparent governance, workforce reintegration and partnerships with health authorities, families, employers, academic institutions and other organizations.
