The DRK Ortsverein Bispingen e. V. is the local branch of the German Red Cross, serving Bispingen and nearby communities including Behringen, Steinbeck, Hützel, Borstel, Volkwardingen, Haverbeck, Hörpel and Wilsede. Guided by the Red Cross movement’s principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality, the association has been active in Bispingen since 1965. Its volunteers provide practical support and opportunities for connection across the community.

The organization arranges blood donation appointments and runs the Youth Red Cross for children and young people. Its regular activities include senior gatherings at a meeting place, with coffee and cake, and water aerobics at Luhetalbad. It also offers water familiarization courses for children aged four and older, delivered in ten-session blocks. The association shares local events, courses and ways to get involved, and welcomes people interested in volunteering, contributing ideas or supporting its work. Donations can benefit the Bispingen Red Cross or its Youth Red Cross. Through these services, the local branch combines social support, community activities and humanitarian engagement.
