The DRK Ortsverein Bönen e.V. is the local German Red Cross association serving the community of Bönen. Its work is powered by volunteers who give their time without payment to support the common good and help people in need. The association welcomes people who want to contribute, noting that many roles can be undertaken without specialist knowledge or prior training.
Its activities include first-aid courses, medical services at events, blood donation initiatives and the rental of its premises. Through its Red Cross community and youth programs, the association also offers a youth group, school first-aid training, emergency-scene simulation activities and a handcraft group. Its listed groups include blood donation, emergency services and the German Red Cross Youth.
The association invites the public to get involved by donating money, volunteering time or giving blood. It also accepts support through one-time and recurring donations, occasion-based and memorial donations, and donations made while shopping. Based in Bönen, the DRK Ortsverein shares news, event information and opportunities to participate through its website.
