Deutsches Rotes Kreuz

The German Red Cross Ortsverein Hasbergen e. V. is a local voluntary association serving the community of Hasbergen.

As part of the German Red Cross, it supports people in emergencies and promotes health, safety, and community participation. Its activities include emergency response by trained volunteers, who assist during major incidents and situations such as flooding. The association also provides a local first-response service: volunteer emergency and rescue medical personnel offer initial care until the regular emergency services arrive.

Alongside these services, the Ortsverein helps organize blood donation events with the blood donation service, encouraging residents to contribute to the supply of blood needed across Germany. Its work also includes ambulance and patient transport, with reports highlighting transport operations during the Christmas holidays. The association offers American Heart Association provider courses for emergency and medical professionals, with ACLS courses announced first and PALS and BLS planned for a later date.
