The German Red Cross (DRK) Heinriet-Gruppenbach local association is a volunteer organization serving Untergruppenbach and its surrounding districts. For more than 60 years, its volunteers have supported the local community through emergency response, health services and public safety work. Its activities include providing medical support at events, from concerts to street festivals, and operating a “first responder” group to help people in urgent situations.
The association also contributes to civil protection and organizes blood donation drives, helping connect residents with opportunities to donate. Through its first-aid courses, participants learn how to respond appropriately in emergencies and potentially save lives. The association shares information about blood donation services, upcoming donation dates and related topics, and invites people to support its projects through donations or to get involved as members and active volunteers.
A distinctive feature of its work is its close, friendly cooperation with the neighboring DRK associations in Abstatt and Ilsfeld, together known as the local associations of the Upper Schozach Valley
