About drk-loeningen.de
DRK Bereitschaft Löningen is a local volunteer unit of the German Red Cross, serving Löningen and the surrounding area. With a tradition spanning more than 60 years, it brings together 45 members in the readiness team and 19 in the German Red Cross Youth. Its work focuses on community support, medical assistance, humanitarian aid and civil protection.
The team provides medical coverage at public events, from concerts and football matches to festivals and street gatherings, helping people who become ill or injured. Trained volunteer First Responders can provide early assistance in emergencies while awaiting the arrival of an ambulance or emergency physician. The organization also lists services and activities in areas such as disaster response, care support and psychosocial emergency support.
Löningen is also a location for first-aid courses offered by the DRK district association in Cloppenburg, helping participants learn practical lifesaving skills. Through its youth group, volunteer opportunities and public services, the organization supports preparedness and encourages community involvement.
