DRK Kreisverband Lüneburg

The German Red Cross District Association of Lüneburg (DRK-Kreisverband Lüneburg e. V. ) provides humanitarian and social services across the city and district of Lüneburg.

Its work is guided by the wellbeing of people and is delivered by professional staff, volunteers, and local branches. The association supports people at different stages of life through outpatient care, household assistance, care advice, assisted living, short-term care, a senior residence and a nursing home in Adendorf, and a 24-hour home emergency call service. It also operates eight childcare facilities and offers transport, ambulance and patient transport services, disaster response, first aid support, search-and-rescue dog work, and psychosocial support after emergencies.

Training includes first aid courses for adults, children, workplaces, drivers, and other groups, as well as fire-safety training. Further activities include blood donation, youth programs, volunteering, and the WunschMobil, which helps fulfil a special final wish for people who are terminally ill.
