The German Red Cross (DRK) Ortsverein Pfedelbach is a local volunteer association serving the community of Pfedelbach. It has 33 active volunteers, including ten who work as “Helfer vor Ort,” providing local emergency assistance. The association also supports public events and sports tournaments with first-aid services and regularly organizes blood donation drives. These activities reflect its practical focus on community support and emergency preparedness.

The Ortsverein’s history in Pfedelbach dates back to its first members’ meeting, held on January 20, 1949, at the Zum Kaiser inn. For 25 years, volunteers held their regular service evenings in a succession of borrowed spaces, including private homes, a kindergarten room in the old town hall, and a room at the secondary school. In 1974, the association gained its own premises in the Langen Bau, and in 1987 it moved into a new service room in the Marstall building. Visitors can learn about its services, get in touch, or contribute to humanitarian projects through a donation.
