Dropseed Native Plant Nursery provides Kentucky-grown native plants and seeds for home landscapes and natural area restoration. Its mission is to supply high-quality plant material with local genetic origins while supporting the protection of regional native species and natural communities. Plants are grown from seed collected—with landowners’ permission—from local natural areas; the nursery does not dig plants from the wild except for rescues on land scheduled for development.

The nursery offers grasses and sedges, trees, shrubs, vines, ferns, forbs, seeds, and gift cards. Its services include landscape design, contract growing, cut flowers, speaking engagements, and science-based planning, inventory, and management for natural areas and restoration projects. Landscape options include rain gardens, xeriscapes, prairie and woodland gardens, and plantings designed to support butterflies, bees, birds, and other wildlife.

Based in Goshen, Kentucky, Dropseed serves projects in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. It sells seeds and potted plants for shipping to a selection of nearby states; trees and shrubs are not shipped.
