Drosteforum

The Droste-Forum is a cultural and scholarly association dedicated to the life and work of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (1797–1848), the German author and musician. Founded in Münster in late 2007 by museum professionals, literature and cultural studies scholars, and interested members of the public, the organization works to encourage scientific, cultural, and artistic engagement with Droste-Hülshoff and her literary and musical œuvre. Its activities aim to broaden public awareness of her work and deepen understanding of its significance.

Supported by a private foundation, the Droste-Forum develops its own initiatives and provides support for selected projects by others. Its work includes research projects, exhibitions, publications, events, digital resources, and efforts to preserve Droste-related archival materials. The association also promotes emerging scholars through awards and supports a network of institutions and projects connected to the author. Visitors to its website can explore information about Droste-Hülshoff’s biography, the places associated with her, her texts, and related resources.
