About Canadian Drug Policy Coalition
The Canadian Drug Policy Coalition (CDPC) is an independent, federally registered not-for-profit organization working to advance drug policies grounded in public health, evidence, compassion, and human rights. It collaborates with more than 100 organizations and 7,000 individuals to shape policies that support well-being for everyone, regardless of their relationship with drugs.
The coalition focuses on legal regulation, decriminalization, and human rights. Its advocacy promotes safer approaches to the production and distribution of currently illegal drugs, ending punitive responses to personal possession and necessity trafficking, and addressing discrimination and other harms caused by punitive drug laws.
CDPC develops and shares resources to inform public discussion and action, including reports, publications, guides, and learning materials. Its projects bring together people affected by current policies and community organizations to identify recommendations and pathways for change. The coalition also publishes news, hosts events, and offers opportunities to join its network, subscribe to its newsletter, or support its work through donations.
