About drycrikjournal
Drycrikjournal is a brand that focuses on the life and work of John and Robbin, who raise beef cattle on Dry Creek in California. Located in the southern Sierra Nevada foothills, about 30 miles east of Visalia, Dry Criks is a fifth-generation family-owned ranch that has been harvesting grass in Tulare County. John, a poet, was invited to perform at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in 1989, where he discovered his passion for contemporary poetry and its connection to rural and livestock cultures.
As a result, he began publishing the Dry Crik Review in 1990, featuring poetry from these cultures. His work has received recognition, including the Wrangler Award for his poetry book Poems from Dry Creek. Robbin, on the other hand, has captured the essence of Dry Creek through her photography, which is featured in the Dry Crik Journal.
Together, John and Robbin share their experiences, perspectives, and artistic talents, offering a unique glimpse into the life of a rancher through their written words and visual imagery
