Our brand, the Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW), is dedicated to bringing together data stewards and researchers to create efficient and high-quality data management plans (DMPs) for their research projects. Our platform offers a range of products and services to support this process.

With DSW, data stewards can capture their expertise and knowledge specific to a domain or organization. Researchers are guided through the process of composing a DMP, which can then be exported using selected templates and formats, including machine-actionable options.

Our goal is not only to provide researchers with obligatory DMPs for funders but also to help them learn how to handle data correctly, make them FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), maintain data throughout the project, and curate them for the long term.

The DSW story began in the Netherlands, where Dr. Rob Hooft started collecting knowledge about data stewardship and formalized it as a hierarchical mind map. The DSW core team, along with our Advisory Board of industry leaders and experts, is committed to developing and embedding DSW in practice.
