The Research Centre Deutscher Sprachatlas (German Language Atlas) is a research institution at Philipps-Universität Marburg, dedicated to the study and documentation of German regional languages and linguistic variation. Its work brings together research projects, scholarly publications, collections and public engagement. Current and past projects include Regionalsprache.

de (REDE), the Hessen-Nassau Dictionary, research on the acquisition of variation and varieties in the Alemannic region, and the “Language in Hesse” project office. The centre also publishes journals, book series and language atlases, and provides materials related to the book Sprachdynamik. Its Research and Documentation Centre for Regional Language is a central service for researchers and interested members of the public working with or exploring the Deutscher Sprachatlas’s research area.
