The Down Syndrome Awareness Group of East Tennessee (DSAGTN) is a community organization dedicated to bringing families and professionals together through support and information about Down syndrome. Its message, “Love doesn’t count chromosomes,” celebrates the idea that differences connect us and encourages people to see ability. DSAGTN offers programs and resources for families, with dedicated information for fathers through its DADS offering, as well as scholarships and grants.
The organization also shares links to other Down syndrome organizations and educational resources, helping families and professionals find further support. Its events include the Knoxville Buddy Walk and Race 3. 21, which provide opportunities for community participation and awareness.
DSAGTN serves the East Tennessee community from Knoxville and welcomes inquiries from people seeking more information. It is an affiliate of both the National Down Syndrome Society and the National Down Syndrome Congress, connecting its local work with wider networks focused on Down syndrome
