Diamond Strategic Solutions

Diamond Strategic Solutions (DSS) is a private security firm headquartered in Danville, California, serving principals, family offices, estates, executives, and commercial clients. Founded by U.S. Marine Corps Force Recon veteran Josiah Van Puffelen, the company says its operations are built around Force Recon standards, discretion, and precision. DSS holds California Private Patrol Operator license PPO 121658 and provides vetted, BSIS-licensed security guards for corporate facilities, campuses, and high-value logistics.

Its services include low-profile executive and close protection, including security for international travel; residential security for primary and secondary estates; family office security audits; and commercial guard deployment. The firm’s audits assess physical vulnerabilities, access controls, staff movement, and potential insider risks. Its protection teams coordinate with clients’ lifestyles and plans, aiming to maintain readiness without unnecessary visibility or disruption. DSS also emphasizes direct communication with its operators, confidential communications, and real-time action logging through Responder Pro. The company describes its approach as referral-led and focused on managing overlooked risks, including travel disruptions, logistical gaps, and changes in behavior that could affect security.
