DT4REGIONS is an innovative initiative supported by the European Parliament and European Funds, designed to create a European Platform for Regions that harnesses the potential of AI and Big Data. This unique challenge-based innovation platform focuses on developing tools and services aimed at enhancing public administration's efficiency and effectiveness through user-centric services.
By engaging public administrations in defining platform functionalities, DT4REGIONS fosters dedicated capacity building and mutual learning among regional innovation actors, fostering a collaborative approach to harnessing technology for societal benefit. The project includes 14 partners from seven European countries, headed by the Emilia-Romagna Region, all contributing their expertise to address real needs within regional networks.
DT4REGIONS also promotes awareness and knowledge sharing of AI and Big Data applications, encourages peer-to-peer exchanges among regions, and stimulates policy discussions on vital public interests. With practical initiatives like hackathons, the platform is poised to lead the digital transformation in public services while focusing on open data and smart city innovations.
