DuikTeam IJmond

Duikteam IJmond is a diving club for people interested in learning, practising and exploring underwater, with activities ranging from pool training to North Sea wreck dives. The club welcomes beginners and returning divers, offering trial lessons, structured courses from one- to four-star levels, guidance for divers restarting after a break, and assessment of existing certifications. Members can also learn about diving equipment and medical examinations, while experienced participants can take part in specialist activities such as helmet diving and wreck diving.

The club’s own vessel, Nehalennia, supports trips to wrecks in the North Sea, and the team also dives in Dutch lakes and other local waters. Its activities extend to dive holidays and outings, with featured destinations including Scapa Flow in Scotland, Portland in the UK, the Ardennes and the Red Sea in Egypt. Duikteam IJmond also offers helmet-diving demonstrations and provides information for prospective members through its club facilities, events, publications, photo and film archives, and online resources.
