Compagnie Duanama is a Marseille-based theater company that was established in 2011. Inspired by the Kogi people, an indigenous community in Colombia, Duanama aims to address and raise awareness about violence, racism, and stereotypes through their theater productions. The company believes in promoting cultural diversity, fostering personal and interpersonal growth, and encouraging social change.
Duanama produces and presents thought-provoking theater shows that explore the complexities of human experiences. They also actively participate in the social and solidarity economy and prioritize education and community engagement. By using theater as both an art form and a tool, Duanama encourages self-reflection, personal growth, and empathy, while also facilitating connections between individuals and cultures.
Their performances, workshops, and participatory projects provide opportunities for individuals to confront their fears, challenge their preconceptions, and embrace the power of dialogue. With a commitment to artistic excellence and social impact, Duanama is dedicated to creating a better and more inclusive society through the transformative power of theater
